Codpieces were practical first and decorative second. A codpiece is a flap attached to your hosen that covers your shirt & braise. When jerkins got shorter braies and shirts started showing, which was a minor fashion faux pas.
Later it became a small (or not so small) stuffed roll that performed the same function. It was a separate piece, but can be tied or buttoned to your hosen.
When else are you ever going to get to wear something this silly... ah, I mean manly... and not get picked on by your football buds?
I will put a small pocket in larger codpieces upon request... I hear they are very comfortable.
Garters:
#1500M11
Start at $5 to sew + materials
Hold your neither-hose up.
Ruff:
#1500M12
Small starts at $30 to sew + materials
Lace or linen

+ $25 to starch
Small ruffs were very popular in the 1500's. They could be separate or attached to the shirt collar. Spray starch & a curling iron are essential, a hair dryer is a big help too.
